Why was my application denied?

< 1 min read

CCP has a very low denial rate at 5%. Applications can be denied for any of the following reasons:

  1. 1. The applicant is a homeowner and not a renter. CCP cannot pay home mortgages.

2. The applicant makes too much money. The applicant’s income must be at or below 80% AMI (area medium income). Click here to view the AMI Chart for each county.

3. The application is a fraud attempt. CCP takes fraud attempts seriously. We are required to report all confirmed fraud attempts to local, state, and federal authorities.

4. CCP reserves the right to deny an applicant or landlord if they are harassing or verbally abusing a CCP team member. Receiving assistance is not guaranteed.

We understand the urgency of your housing situation, especially during these challenging times. If your request was denied but you believe that you may be eligible, then you may appeal your denial by sending an email to: appeals@okccp2021.org.
